1. Who we are

SLCompare is a comparison platform for Second Life land rentals and breedable markets, operated from Ireland, EU.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Linden Research, Inc. Second Life® and Linden Lab® are trademarks of Linden Research, Inc. All in-world currency (Linden Dollars, L$) is the property of Linden Research, Inc.

2. Who can use SLCompare

Renters — anyone can browse SLCompare without an account. No registration required.

Businesses — estate agents and breedable market operators can register a free business listing. You must have a valid Second Life account and be authorised to represent the estate or market you register.

3. Listing data

SLCompare aggregates listing data from three sources:

• Scraped data — parcel and estate information gathered from publicly accessible estate websites, updated regularly
• Bridge data — live listing data sent automatically by the SLC Bridge in-world object installed by the business
• Portal data — information entered directly by the business through the SLCompare portal

SLCompare makes reasonable efforts to keep listing data accurate but does not guarantee that prices, availability, or prim allowances shown on the site are current at any given moment. Always verify details in-world before renting.

4. Business accounts

By registering a business listing you confirm that you are authorised to represent that estate or market on SLCompare.

You are responsible for keeping your listing data accurate. SLCompare may hide or remove listings that are materially inaccurate, abandoned, or in breach of these terms.

Your SL avatar identity is verified at registration. You may not register on behalf of an estate you do not own or manage.

One bridge per region. If you operate both land rentals and a breedable market, each must be on a separate region with its own bridge.

5. The SLC Bridge

The SLC Bridge is an in-world LSL object that connects your rental units to SLCompare. By rezzing the bridge you authorise it to read and transmit listing data — price, prims, availability, and position — from your rental units to SLCompare. The standard bridge supports CasperLet. Custom bridges may be built for businesses using other rental systems on request.

The bridge must be rezzed by the same avatar that owns your rental units. This is a Second Life platform limitation — the bridge can only communicate with units owned by the same avatar. If your units are group-owned or managed by a different avatar, contact us before rezzing.

The bridge is issued per business and per category. It is non-transferable. You may not distribute, resell, or modify the bridge object.

SLCompare may deactivate a bridge at any time for breach of these terms or at the request of the business owner.

6. Free listing

Every estate agent and breedable market operator can list on SLCompare for free, forever. The free listing includes:

• Full listing page with live data
• Inclusion in all relevant browse and filter results
• Your own dedicated URL on SLCompare
• Portal access to manage your listing, logo, and banner
• Visit in Second Life button with direct teleport

The free tier has no expiry and no hidden limits.

7. Paid subscriptions

Optional paid subscription tiers are available for businesses that want additional features including analytics, advertising, and enhanced visibility. Subscription fees are charged in Linden Dollars (L$) via the SLCompare wallet system, topped up at an in-world SLCompare ATM.

Subscriptions renew automatically on the same day each month (or year for annual plans). The renewal amount is deducted from your SLCompare wallet balance on the renewal date. If your wallet has insufficient funds on the renewal date, your subscription lapses immediately and your account returns to the free tier. There is no grace period.

You will receive reminder emails before each renewal: 5 and 3 days before for monthly plans; 30, 7, 5, and 3 days before for annual plans. Each reminder shows your current wallet balance and the amount due so you have time to top up if needed.

You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from your portal. Your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period. After that it lapses to free with no further charges. You may reactivate auto-renewal at any time before expiry.

All subscription payments are non-refundable. Linden Dollars transferred to the SLCompare wallet cannot be withdrawn or converted to real-world currency.

Current subscription pricing is shown at slcompare.com/pricing. SLCompare reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to registered businesses.

8. Advertising

Businesses on eligible subscription tiers may purchase advertising placements on SLCompare including featured listings, banner ads, and zone sponsorship. All advertising is subject to the Advertising Terms & Conditions.

Ad payments are made from your SLCompare wallet balance. All ad payments are non-refundable except where explicitly stated in the Advertising Terms.

SLCompare reserves the right to reject or remove any ad that violates our advertising terms, community standards, or Second Life platform guidelines, without refund.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use SLCompare to:

• Register listings for estates or markets you do not own or manage
• Submit false, misleading, or materially inaccurate listing data
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce SLCompare data for use on competing platforms
• Attempt to manipulate search results, analytics, or click counts
• Abuse the bridge system, including distributing bridge objects to unauthorised parties
• Conduct any activity that interferes with SLCompare's operation or infrastructure

Breach of these rules may result in immediate removal of your listing and permanent ban from the platform.

10. Content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of any content you submit — descriptions, logos, and banner images. By submitting content you grant SLCompare a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform for the purpose of operating your listing.

SLCompare retains all rights to the platform design, code, and structure.

Content must not infringe third-party intellectual property rights. Do not upload images or descriptions you do not have the right to use.

Submitted content must not contain nudity, pornographic material, profanity, hate speech, racism, or any content that is offensive, discriminatory, or harmful. SLCompare reserves the right to remove any content that violates this policy and to suspend or permanently ban the account responsible.

11. Disclaimers

SLCompare is a comparison platform only. We do not operate, endorse, or take responsibility for any estate or market listed on the site. Rental agreements are between the renter and the estate owner — SLCompare is not a party to any such agreement.

SLCompare is provided "as is". We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of listing data. We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information shown on the site.

12. Privacy & GDPR

SLCompare is operated from Ireland and complies with EU GDPR. Full details on what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights are in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We will give registered businesses 30 days' notice before any material changes to these terms. Notice will be posted via our InCynq profile at incynq.app/profile/slcompare. Continued use of SLCompare after the notice period means you accept the updated terms.
